Suffolk jumping ‘mad’ hares, giving us the phrase ‘as mad as a March hare’, is a new limited edition bronze by Belinda Silllars. Observed during early morning walks, these usually solitary creatures become active during the breeding season March-April time, when females can be seen standing on their hind legs and boxing off excited male hares jumping vertically around local Suffolk fields.

Suffolk hares have a golden brown fur and a white belly, long ears with black tips and can reach speeds of up to 40 miles per hour!
